A European Rule of Life šŸ„‚

Hello!

I haven't sent a liveliness list since January so SURPRISE! I'm back in your inbox.

I just got back from a few weeks soaking in inspiration and beauty in Europe and it feels only appropriate that I revive the liveliness list with this:

While we were away, my friend Meg and I wrote a list that we fondly refer to as our ā€œEuropean rule of life." It's a list of things we did in Europe that made life better that we want to incorporate in our normal day-to-day.

Here's a snippet of 10 of the best things on the list. I hope they give you some inspiration to make your life special today, this weekend, and everyday after that.

  1. Sit and bask in the sun whenever possible

  2. Add a weekly (maybe daily!) baguette to your grocery list.

  3. Wear perfume. Make it special.

  4. Put lemon in your diet coke

  5. Linger at dinner and have a shot of espresso after meals

  6. Use cloth napkins

  7. Serve olives and potato chips with every drink (preferably an Aperol spritz!)

  8. Keep nice soap at your sinks

  9. Serve cheese / charcuterie after meals instead of before. (We stayed a couples house and they served cheese after the main course and it felt even more like a delicacy and it didn't ruin your appetite - 10/10 recommend).

  10. Getting dressed is an act of love for yourself! Scarves, trench coats, fun bags, general chic-ness is encouraged.

Life was really special while traveling - but our daily lives can be special, too. The special occasion is today!

With so much love,

Caroline

Got these at Zara, you can as well!

Probably bad timing considering we're cusping on summer in South Carolina but I'm a cardigan girl now and I love this navy one from Sezane! You can wear it with the buttons in the front or the back. Chic!

This is my #1 lifehack. I was able to get my roundtrip ticket to Europe with my Amex points. This is my favorite card to use for everything. If you want to go to Europe, start putting your daily expenses on this card.

I cannot speak highly enough of Away! I got one for my trip and the wheel broke as I was dragging it up the steps of Sacre Coeur (understandable LOL). Away replaced it and did the customization again for me in no time. The lifetime warranty really just saved me from buying a new suitcase every few years when something inevitably breaks. WORTH IT!

Love this swimsuit from the Gap so much! So flattering and high quality.

My fave dress ever!!

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITES?

I'm all ears! Comment below and tell us what gave you life this week!

Need prayer? I would be honored to pray for you. Send me your intentions, too!

Live Lively,

Caroline
